Locodo
Locodo is a private, offline to-do app. Your tasks never leave your device — we have no servers, no accounts, and no trackers. There is, quite simply, nothing for us to collect.

This Privacy Policy explains how Locodo ("Locodo", "we", "us", or "our") approaches your privacy when you use the Locodo app (the "App"). We built Locodo on a simple, uncompromising principle: your to-do list is yours, and yours alone. This policy describes — in plain language — exactly what that means in practice.
In one sentence: Locodo does not collect, store on our servers, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal information or task content. Everything stays on your device.
None. Locodo does not collect personal information. The content you create — tasks, lists, notes, due dates, reminders, tags, priorities, and your settings — is generated and saved locally on your device. It is never sent to us or to any third party.
Because we have no servers and no accounts, we have no database of users and no way to identify you. We do not log IP addresses, device identifiers, usage events, or crash data on our side.
Some features can read or use sensitive information on your device — for example your approximate location (for "remind me here" reminders) or your calendar (to show events next to your tasks). This processing happens entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. See Device permissions for the full list.
Your tasks are stored in a single file within the App's private storage on your device, in a human-readable format. This file is also the basis for your backups, which means the data is always portable and inspectable by you. If you remove the App, this data is removed from your device along with it. We retain no copy because we never received one.
Locodo only requests a permission when you choose to use the feature that needs it. Every one of these runs on your device:

| Calendar | Used only if you choose to see your calendar alongside your tasks, or add a task to your calendar as a time block. Events are read on your device through Apple's Calendar framework; we never receive, store, or transmit your calendar. |
| Microphone & Speech Recognition | Used only when you tap the microphone to dictate a task or note. Transcription is performed by the device's speech engine. We do not record, store, or upload audio. |
| Face ID / Touch ID | Used only if you enable App Lock, to keep your tasks for your eyes only. Authentication is handled by iOS; Locodo never accesses your biometric data. |

You can review or revoke any of these at any time in the iOS Settings app.
When you back up or export your tasks (as JSON, Markdown, CSV, or PDF), the file is created on your device and shared only to the destination you choose — for example the Files app, AirDrop, or another app you select. Optional encrypted backups are protected with a password you set; that password and the file's contents are never transmitted to or seen by us.
Locodo is completely free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no premium tier — every feature is included for everyone. Because we never sell anything inside the App, we never collect, receive, or store any payment information, and there is no billing data to process.
Locodo does not embed third-party advertising networks or analytics services. The App is built with Apple frameworks and trusted open-source libraries that execute locally on your device. No data is shared with third parties for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose. The only "third party" involved in a transaction is Apple, and only when you make a purchase.
Keeping your data on-device is, itself, a strong privacy and security posture: there is no central server to breach and no account to compromise. Your information benefits from the security of your device and iOS, including device passcode and, if you enable it, Locodo's Face ID / Touch ID App Lock. For exported files, we recommend using the encrypted backup option and storing the file somewhere you trust.
Because your data lives only on your device, you have complete and direct control over it at all times. You can:
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights to access, correct, and delete personal data. Since we never hold your data, these rights are satisfied directly by you, on your device — there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase on your behalf.
Locodo does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). The App contains no ads, no tracking, and no social features, and is safe for users of all ages.
Locodo is available worldwide. Because your data never leaves your device and is never transferred to our servers, there is no cross-border transfer or international processing of your personal information by us. Your data stays wherever your device is.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements to the App or changes in legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Because we collect no data, we expect such changes to be infrequent. Your continued use of Locodo after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
